The Firm – I’m growing weary of this Tom Cruise film franchise.  It has only about 2 minutes of segment per episode that is related to the whole continuity of the conspiracy in lawyer Mitch MacDeere’s place of employment.  The rest turns out to be a boring litany of  court cases and struggle of hero Mitch on how to right some wrongs.  Drab

Gossip Girl – WTF? Hasn’t this been cancelled yet?  I hate Dan’s slurry turret syndrome repetitive speech.  It’s so so so, I mean, mean mean, fake, you know?  And all the characters turning on each other? Plotting, character assassinating each other, this leaves absolutely no moral values to be picked up from watching this show.  Unless you enjoy people screwing each other around, backstabbing each other, etc.

As of August 14, 2011, Here are the latest addition to the upcoming Game of Thrones Season 2:

Oona Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin’s grand daughter  joins Game of Thrones next year as a character named Jeyne.  It is yet unknown as to which Jeyne Oona will play, as there were a number of Jeyne’s in George RR. Martin’s book.  Born in 1986, Chaplin has appeared in Daniel Craig’s “Quantum of Solace” in 2008 as Perla de las Dunas, a receptionist.

Robert Pugh

Robert Pugh is also a new addition to the cast, playing Craster, the tenuous ally to the Night’s Watch.

Comments Off on Thundercats 2011 a new hit tv show reboot!

The old favorite thundercats has returned this 2011.  By all accounts, it is perfect.  At first, I was skeptic do download the video, as they may have just simply rehashed everything.

Introduced at the start was Lion O’s father, plus an expanded storylyine that delved the viewer into a look at how the Thundercats’ kingdom was overthrown by Mumra and the lizards.

Older viewers will still love this because there is a touch of Lord of the rings, game of thrones, and even a touch of mech anime to incorporate it into the 2011 new millennium era!

“The Tudors” actress Natalie Dormer – is the first casting hire for the second season of HBO’s hit fantasy drama and will join the show as a series regular, EW reports. Dormer played Anne Boleyn on the Showtime series.

Dormer is set to take on the role of Margaery Tyrell who — spoiler alert! — is pledged to marry Renly Baratheon, late King Robert’s brother, as part of House Tyrell’s play for Renly to seize the Iron Throne from King Joffrey and the Lannisters.

Dormer also has a role (Pvt. Lorraine) in the upcoming “Captain America” film starring Chris Evans.

a-dance-with-dragons

In the book series A Song of Ice and Fire, A Dance of Dragons is Book 5.  The HBO series just started with book 1, and this 5th book took six years to finish.   It will be published in both the USA and UK on 12 July 2011. The plan is to release the ebook and print editions simultaneously.

Blame it on the 180 books mistakenly shipped in advance by Amazon, but there are advance spoilers and tidbits in the Book “a dance of dragons”, by author George RR Martin.

Comments Off on Khal Drogo is played by Jason Momoa in Game of Thrones

Everybody who watched Dothraki leader Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones was curious as to who played the Dothraki warlord.  Lo and behold, it was Jason Momoa, a familiar face of baywatch.

He indicates that at the audition, he performed a haka war-dance as part of his audition, he said, and then apparently showed off his backside to the audience in preparation for further nudity in the pilot, which would mark both his first nude scene and his first sex scene as an actor. He also apparently mentioned disliking horses, and not really looking forward to the riding scene the pilot requires (much less the rest of the riding scenes that will be required if the show goes forward).
